Food and Dining

Dining Hall

Our spacious, dining hall is able to accommodate up to 400 campers. Complimentary coffee and tea are available 7:00 am to 7:00 pm to all campers. There are areas for making your own toast, with seasonal fruit baskets, and up to three separately staffed, serving stations for meals. At either end of the Dining Hall are large, stone fireplaces which put out luscious, crackling heat and mesmerizing flames in winter. During warmer months, outside seating is available. Sit out in the fresh Idyllwild air under tall pine and cedar trees and watch the squirrels or take in lovely, majestic Tahquitz Rock jutting up from the nearby San Jacinto Mountains. Our outdoor seating is located near the beautifully redesigned Prayer Garden.

New tasty, and nutritious, cuisine is being introduced all the time. Whether it’s your first time, or your twenty-first time, Idyllwild Pines Camp offers the best in meals, hands-down. We have received amazing feedback on our fresh grilled burgers, made from scratch tacos and delicious salad bar. Our renewed focus on freshness and more whole ingredients clearly shows. The dining staff takes great pride in greeting campers warmly, accommodating their personal dietary needs or restrictions, and working with camp leaders to make your dining experience timely, tasty, and memorable.

Winter Lounge

In the winter months a portion of the dining hall is sectioned off to form a separate winter lounge, complete with ample seating, game tables and small group seating. There is something truly cozy and enchanting about looking out to a snowy winter’s day with the fireplace ablaze and cup of hot coffee or tea in hand…what a way to spend an afternoon!
